A popular contest to offer during a charity golf tournament is a Grand Prize for a "Hole-in-One". Because it is so rare that a participant will actually shoot a hole-in-one on any particular course, the hosting organization will often advertise an extravagant Grand Prize (example: $10,000 or a New Car). In the rare instance that someone does hit a hole-in-one at the identified Grand Prize Hole, a company may want to protect itself by purchasing a hole-in-one insurance policy. Companies that offer hole-in-one insurance protect the hosting organization from excessive out-of-pocket fees. It works like this: Your organization pays a hole-in-one insurance provider a fee (i.e. $300). This allows the tournament host to advertise a large Grand Prize, without being liable for paying for it. If there is a hole-in-one contest winner, the insurance company becomes fully responsible for paying out the prizes. Some hole-in-one insurance providers will also provide golf signs as part of their fee to help you promote the Grand Prize Offering. See our recommended partners below for more information.
