Dharma Merchant Services offers the most fair and cost-effective program by using an "Interchange Cost Plus" approach.

This approach is based on the Interchange Rate, which is the cost of accepting a credit or debit card as established by the Visa and MasterCard Associations. The cost is comprised of a percentage of the sale plus a per-transaction fee. All Merchant Service Providers (MSP's) start with the same Interchange Rate as their cost basis, which enables even the smallest of providers to compete with the largest MSP's and banks.

Currently, there are dozens of categories into which card sales can qualify, depending on the type of card being presented. Rather than pricing card sales at each category, most MSP's will place card sales into two or three groups. For example, an MSP might lump credit and debit sales into one "qualified" tier, when in fact, debit transactions have a lower Interchange Rate. Some MSP's will also quote a very low base rate, but since the majority of sales do not fall into that rate category, those sales are highly surcharged into "mid or non qualified" tiers.

With our "Interchange Cost Plus" approach, a small, constant margin is added to every type of card sale. This gives you the benefit of the lowest cost for all card sales, with a clear description of all transaction types.

A $10 monthly statement fee applies to all accounts; however, our simplified pricing model has allowed us to eliminate many commonly-charged fees such as:

• annual fees
• cancellation fees
• AVS fees
• batch header fees

We also offer preferred pricing to use the Authorize.Net payment gateway for card-not-present transactions:
